The Perfect Soft Spring Glam

Many of you participated in a poll I did today on Instagram considering what makeup look I should teach you to do and the bigger amount of people voted for soft a spring glam. This look is based on a lot of glow and mixing warm based tones to give your skin a extra sun-kissed feel. Some of the products listed down below are unfortunately not available in Slovakia, but I choose colours that you can easily find in your local drug store or your favourite brand. This look is perfect for going out during warm spring days or as your new everyday makeup look.

How to create my soft spring glam:

The base:

Dior – Diorskin Nude in 020: I am genetically very pale so sometimes I buy one shade darker to get my skin little tanner. This is one of my favourite foundations for spring and summer because it has SPF 15 and it’s really light. I apply my makeup by putting two dots on both of my cheeks and one dot on all the other spots (chin, nose and forehead). I do this to not have a cakey makeup since I don’t need a lot for my young skin. Also make sure to blend your makeup all the way down to your neck line.

Benefit Cosmetics – Boiing Airbrush concealer in 01: While applying correcting concealers make sure to not   put too much since the texture is more on the cakey side. When you have blemishes usually on T-zone like I do I put my concealer under my nose and on my chin.

Estée Lauder – Double Wear Brush-On Glow BB in 1C: Honestly this is the best brightening concealer I’ve ever used! To brighten my face a little bit I apply my concealer under my eyes, my chin and my forehead. My favourite thing about this concealer is that it’s really gentle on the skin, but it stays all day.

M.A.C – Studio Careblend Pressed Powder in light plus: If you are my reader for a long time now you know that I swear by this powder. It nicely sets the makeup and makes it stay matte the whole day. When creating a dewy look don’t put your powder all over your face, but instead on the spots where you put your brightening concealer.

Blush + Highlighter:

*I am usually a bronzer kind of girl, but in this case I decided to not use it to not look too tan, but if you want to add a little extra touch, you do you.*

M.A.C – Mineralize Blush in Warm Soul:  This blush is one of my favourites for a long time now and not just because of the amazing peachy colour, but also of the consistency and long-last effect. I lightly apply my blush on the apples of my cheeks and blend it upwards to my hairline to make my face look slimmer.

Becca Cosmetics – Shimmering Skin Perfector in C Pop: I was recently in Vienna for a shopping spree and I was very excited to find this highlighter. It is considered as the queen of highlights and after I tried it I can tell you I haven’t tried nothing like this before. Since a lot of intense highlighters are very powdery I recommend you at first to apply less and than slowly build up the intensity. I put my highlighter on the bridge of my nose, under my eyebrows and of course on my cheekbones. Sometimes when you have off the shoulder top like I do you can also add a little glimpse of gold  on your collar bones and on the side of your shoulders.

Eyes + Brows:

Anastasia Beverly Hills – Brow Wiz in Taupe: For my brows I always go really light and try to fill in just in places I really need it. My trick for a perfect shaped eyebrows is to always try to frame them with concealer at first and than fill them in to have them really precise.

M.A.C – Brow Set in Clear: I am not a fan of colourful brow gels so I have my fave from M.A.C, which I love since it holds the brows in place until you wipe them off.

Tarte – Tartelette in Bloom palette: The eyes are the most dominant part of this look so listen carefully. For my base I grab Flower Child to set my eyelid. For my transition shade which goes on the crease I take Smarty Pants and lightly blend. For my actual crease shade I mix Sweetheart and Smarty Pants, which I also apply on the bottom of my lower lash line. To deepen the crease just a little bit I use the shade Rebel for little definition, that I apply on the outer V. To finish the look I put Funny Girl on the lid for a extra glow.

Too Faced – Better Than Sex mascara: To finish the whole eye look I grab my Better than Sex mascara and apply it to my top and bottom lashes. This mascara creates beautiful curly lashes and it doesn’t stick them together.

Too Faced: Lip Injection Extreme: I decided to go for really natural brownish colour that compliments my skin tone. I didn’t use any lip pencil, but if you are a fan you should definitely do it. I usually do my lips in a  heart shape, because I think that is what my face suits the best.

M.A.C-  Matte Lipstick in Velvet Teddy: To finish everything up I apply one coat of this secret lip-plumping gloss and I am good to go!
